Current Facilities

Studies have found several inadequacies and problems with the current police station and public safety facilities including:
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems at end of their useful life
  • Handicapped Accessibility Access external and internal is limited
  • Inadequate egress from second floor spaces
  • Limited building insulation envelope
  • Inadequate lockers, toilets and showers
  • Lack of sally port, no controlled booking area, detention facility deficiencies, lack of secure adequate storage for records and evidence
  • Moisture and structural foundation issues with Police wing of building
