Dear Fellow Citizens,

I am pleased to announce the passing of the Proposition 2 1/2 override to allow for the building of a new police station. Despite the rain, there was an overwhelming turn out this Election Day.

I look forward to further sharing our building plans with you and welcoming the community into a space we can all be proud of.

Many thanks for your outpouring of support throughout this very long process. We have the most dedicated employees in our PD and I know how much your showing of support means to them.

Thank you also for the tireless work of our public safety building committee members who have worked diligently to listen to you and propose a plan that addresses the needs of both our department and our community.
